Information & Play Guidelines

- 2012
Season: 2
May – 19 Sept. 21 weeks. Shotgun start –
- #
of Members: Approximately
28 – 30.
- Executive: Gord Pearcey, Guy Hallifax,
Andy Beaudoin, John Hoy, & Wayne Riddall. We may need additional help during
individual exec absences.
- Format: Modified Stapleford (quota)
system. The starting 2012 quotas were
based on last years September quotas.
These will be adjusted at the end of each month.
- Red
Tee’s: Red
tee’s will continue for those players whose quota is at approximately 6,
and who have trouble hitting the ball over the ponds or streams.
- Scrambles: 1st Wednesday of
each month. If there are 3-some’s
in one or more scramble teams, then a 4th team ball will
be put in play with each team player, in turn, taking a stroke. (This DOES NOT mean 1 player hitting
all the shots on 1 hole).
- Teams: Every effort will be
made to make the scramble teams as equal as possible, with the teams being
juggled each scramble. On other
play days, the teams will also be juggled with each team competing against
their combined quota. Teams will be
posted in the clubhouse by Friday evening, and may also be on Bill
Frieday’s golf blog.
- Player
Absence: If
a player knows in advance that they will be missing in the next 1 or 2
weeks, please notify Gord P. at 429-9620, or Guy H. at 422-0011,
preferably by the preceding Thursday night. Regardless, all players shall call
either of the above numbers and advise when you will be missing in action.
- Vouchers: The vouchers for 2012 will be
$8.00 for 1st, $5.00 for 2nd, (no 3rd), plus
$8.00 for closet to the pin. Should
membership numbers go up, the prize money may also go up.
- Championship: Sept 5th (due to Sept.
weather considerations)
- Rules
of Golf: The
general rules of golf shall apply at all times.
