Teaching Pro Stan Thompson visits Twin Creeks

Yesterday, after the Senior Men's League play at Twin Creeks Golf & Country Club, member Paul Thompson arranged to have his Dad, Stan Thompson, join us for lunch.  Stan, now 86, will be remembered by many in Wasaga Beach as the Golf Pro for many years at Marlwood Golf Club. By chance we came across an article about Nick DiGiandomenico, one of Wasaga Beach’s best golfers, who has been the champion at Marlwood Golf Club about 18 times from 1984-2006. Nick said "he credits much of his success to his mentor Stanley Thompson, the head golf pro at Marlwood." Twin Creeks member Brian MacLean's son was given Golf Lessons by Stan.  It was good to see Stan and hope he comes to visit more often.
